Segway Trade In Program
Segway of Oakland will buy or allow trade in of your old Segway. The purchase price is either given to you as a check or taken off the price of a brand new Segway. The choice is yours. When you bring your Segway in for trade or sale we will have one of our trained and qualified service technicians look over the unit and decide its condition. As a general basis we have 3 different levels of trade-in which are described below. The major difference in these 3 different levels is the type of battery the unit is using, weather the unit is working or not factors in a lot as well.
Upon decision to purchase your used Segway you can choose to price out a brand new i2 or x2, in which case the value of your old Segway will go towards the purchase of the new unit. During this process you will have a qualified sales person help you to decide which model would best fit your needs and answer any questions you may have about your new unit.
Upon purchase we register your new unit to Segway headquarters so that in the event your Segways is ever stolen it can be recovered with the first sign that a new key is being made for it. When a new key is made for any Segway all dealers must have all of the information for the Segway and Owner, preventing false owners from ever being able to use the Segway.
